Magic is one of the most versatile forms of entertainment, making it the perfect addition to almost any event. Whether it’s a corporate gathering, a wedding, or a private party, magic has the power to engage, amaze and bring people together. Here’s why magic works so well at different types of events.
Corporate events and exhibitions
At corporate events, magic is more than just entertainment – It’s a powerful tool for engagement. Whether you’re hosting a network event, a product launch, or an exhibition stand, close up magic can break the ice and draw people in. At trade shows, magic can be tailored to highlight a company’s brand or message, creating a memorable experience that makes the business stand out. I’ve worked with companies like Coutts, Natwest and Ocado using magic to attract crowds and spark conversations.

Weddings
Weddings bring together guests from different walks of life, many of whom may not know each other. Magic is the perfect way to bridge that gap. Whether performing at the drinks reception, between courses at dinner, or even later in the evening, magic keeps guests entertained and creates unforgettable moments. I’ve had the privelege of performing at many weddings, and it’s always a joy to see the reactions as people experience the impossible right before their eyes.

Private parties & celebrations
From birthdays to anniversaries, magic adds a special touch to private celebrations. Whether it’s an intimate gathering or a large scale party, close up magic creates a personal and interactive experience. At a recent surprise 40th birthday party, the intimate setting allowed for magic that felt even more astonishing, with guests left in disbelief at the impossible happening right in their own hands.

Charity Events
At charity events, magic is a great way to create excitement and engagement. Whether I’m mingling with guests during a drinks reception or performing as part of the entertainment throughout dinner, magic adds an extra element of fun. I’ve also contributed by offering magic lessons as an auction item, helping to raise funds for great causes

Hospitality & Sporting events
Magic fits seamlessly into hospitality settings, where guests are looking for a premium experience. At rugby hospitality suites, for example, magic adds an extra layer of entertainment pre match, keeping guest engaged and entertained. I perform regularly at Saracens Hospitality for home matches and I’ve seen firsthand how magic creates lasting impressions and enhances the overall guest experience.

Christmas & seasonal events
Christmas parties and festive gatherings are all about celebration, and magic fits perfectly into the joyful atmosphere. Whether it’s a corporate Christmas party or a festive meal at a restaurant, magic brings people together, creating moments of laughter and amazement. In December I performed at multiple Christmas events and the reactions were just as magical as the season itself!

Restaurants and pubs
For restaurants and pubs, having a magician perform at tables adds an extra dimension to the dining experience. It’s a fantastic way to entertain guests while they wait for their food and creates a unique talking point that encourages return visits. I’m often at The Royal Oak in Barrington and it’s a perfect example of how magic enhances a dining experience, bringing smile to everyone in the room.
